benchmarks so you know what to expect during the cold weather.

temperature, patterns, hatches, tactics and tackle.
We will provide cold weather
tips which will result in a comfortable productive day of cold
weather fly-fishing.

FISHING THE LITTLE
LEHIGH
Join us on a tour of
Pennsylvania's famous "Little Lehigh," from it's
origin in the farmland and meadows of
Berks County
through the Allentown parks
system to it's confluence with the Lehigh
River.
As we travel downstream on this
famous limestoner we will observe the most intense population of
wild trout in Pennsylvania, as we discuss presentation, fly
design, tricos and
midge fishing.

FISHING THE CUSHION
The Heritage Section of the
Little Lehigh supports the largest population of wild trout in
Pennsylvania. An angler that can catch
wild fish can catch stocked fish, but the casual angler is
usually confined to catching stockies.
Trout do most of their feeding
on the bottom (the cushion); prudent anglers obtain the
knowledge necessary to penetrate the diverse currents below the
surface to reach the bottom.
Rod will present an
understandable explanation of the streams food organisms. He
will discuss how their life cycles affect the anglers choice of
patterns and tackle for bottom fishing.
He will provide a clear
understanding of opportunistic and selective feeding and how
these phenomenons apply to the bottom fisherman and fly
selection.
This POWER POINT presentation
will provide participants a clear understanding of tackle,
tactics and fly selection necessary to catch bottom feeders.

FISHING THE FILM
Stop settling for hatchery trout. Learn the secrets to fishing
the film and fool the Little Lehighs persnickety, stream bred
trout.
This POWER POINT presentation
will provide participants a clear understanding of tackle,
tactics and fly selection necessary to catch surface feeders
during hatch and non hatch periods.

Good Eats
Alton Brown
combines the best ingredients in his recipes, so does a good
tier.
Alton
Brown presents cuisine appropriate to his audience. A good fly
fisherman serves up bass flies for Bass, Salmon Flies for Salmon
etc.
Alton
gives formal diners fine cuisine, casual diners hot dogs.
A fly fisherman feeds Selective
feeders Imitative patterns and Opportunistic feeders Attractor
patterns.
Rod will discuss the
preparation, ingredients and presentation of Good Eats for
fish!

Bugs
No not that Bugs,

these bugs;
Resistance by anglers to
the entomology of fly-fishing is baffling for two reasons: one,
because entomology is so vital to angling success; and two,
because it is so easy. It is a way for even a beginner to
understand the movements and preferences of the fish. (Gary
Borger)
Stop being
confused by aquatic insects. Rod will provide an easy,
entertaining understandable
approach to entomology for the Fly Fisherman.
